The 2016 Junior Titan football season will be upon us soon. Registration for the 2016 season is now open and will be open until July 3, 2016. Payment will be taken when pads are distributed. If payment is an issue, contact James Watson. On July 3, 2016 we will freeze the numbers in order to make commitments to leagues as far as the number of teams we will have.

2016 League Affiliations

Metro Youth Football League Omaha - The MYFL provides a very competitive experience for players at ages 8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, 7th grade and 8th grade. The Junior Titan program will put one team at the 6th (11), 7th and 8th grade levels into the MYFL Omaha. The league provides the opportunity for Junior Titan teams to compete with the best teams affiliated with schools in the Omaha area - Millard South, Millard North, Millard West, Omaha Central, Westside, Omaha Burke, Papillion-LA Vista South, Creighton Prep, etc. Two years ago Lewis Central moved to 4A in high school football, the largest class in Iowa. The MYFL provides a level of competition that will allow the Junior Titans to continuously develop players to compete at the highest level of Iowa high school football. The Junior Titans could potential place teams in the MYFL at other age levels.

Western Iowa Youth Football League - The Western Iowa Youth Football League provides a competitive, but more development experience for players 3rd, 4th-5th grade and 6th-7th grade. The Junior Titan program will put teams in the WIYF league at all grade levels according to player/team numbers.

The LC coaching staff feels it is important to provide a positive, developmental experience for all football players grades 3-8. The MYFL and WIYF will allow players to learn and develop at appropriate levels - meeting the player where they are right now. The high school staff will monitor grade/age level numbers and conduct player evaluations to determine which league is most suited for players and teams. By affiliating with two different leagues the high school coaching staff and Junior Titan program feel that kids will have a better opportunity to play, and play at a level that allows them to compete and develop appropriately.
